COVID 19 Appeal - We urgently require your support in order to maintain the services we provide for the most vulnerable in Uganda

Every day, Nurture Africa is working to support the most vulnerable families in Uganda gain access to healthcare, education and economic empowerment. Through the financial assistance of our donors and the fundraising activities of our overseas volunteers in 2019, we could provide:

   >     34,118 "most at risk" people with healthcare assistance across Primary health, HIV care & treatment, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Maternity and Physiotherapy projects

   >     351 children and youth with educational support through our Education and Vocational Youth Projects.

   >     2,399 school children from our partner schools with access the Nurture Africa library

The impact of the Covid-19

The Covid-19 Pandemic is placing a huge strain on the ongoing operation of these projects at their current levels. The overall shortfall in fundraising from our Summer Volunteer Programme in 2020 may result in:

   >     4,000+ less women receiving Sexual and Reproductive Health Services at our health facility.

   >   11,000+ less "most at risk" children accessing Primary Healthcare Services.

   >     500 pregnant women not accessing safe delivery services due to a reduction in staff numbers.

   >     The closure of the Nurture Africa Library

   >     A significant reduction in the numbers of vulnerable youth being enrolled on the Vocational Training Programme

With your help we CAN maintain our operations. We need your support now, more than ever.
