Children’s HIV Community Project

HIV-infected children are forgotten by today’s society. Without access to treatment, 4 of every 5 of these children will be dead by their 5th birthday (World Vision 2008). There are 110,000 HIV-infected children in Uganda. Only 27% of these children are currently getting the life-saving medication (Anti-Retroviral Medication) necessary to keep them alive.
Nurture Africa now provides lifesaving treatment to hundreds of these children and their HIV infected guardians. Without this lifesaving treatment most of these children would be dead.
Our target for 2012 is to provide anti-retroviral medication to 350 HIV infected children in Uganda.
